To our potential sponsor:
More than ever before, America’s present societal challenges speak to the need to promote the individual value and potential of all people as a means to eliminate poverty, racism, and violence everywhere.
For 44 years, the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Parade & Festivities Committee has annually organized and presented innovative, entertaining MLK Holiday events that commemorate the life and legacy of the civil rights icon. Rooted in Dr. King’s dream and vision, this celebration and all our organizational efforts are predicated on empowering a new generation of powerful, positive, social change-makers to create freedom and justice for all people who suffer inequality.
Our 2021 theme is “Power In The People.” We endeavor to encourage everyone to go beyond simple appreciation of the tenets of love and mutual cooperation that Dr. King espoused to actively live and promote those philosophies so that together, we can create a harmonious, equitable, and prosperous world.
Given the Coronavirus pandemic, on Monday, January 18, 2021, this year’s parade--which is the oldest and largest signature MLK event in the U.S.--will be presented virtually. It will once again draw record viewership and garner extensive national media through this cutting-edge broadcast collaboration by WPLG 10 TV and WLRN/PBS.
As our cultural arts dimension, we are proud to add--in conjunction with Metro 1 and their nonprofit M1 Community organization--the MLK Holiday Art Contest & Exhibition that will be open, free of charge, to the public on weekends from January 23-February 21 at Metro 1's gallery in Little Haiti.
Recognizing the need throughout the South Florida community, in addition to our annual MLK holiday celebration, our advocacy for youth, families, and seniors also extends to providing dynamic, accessible education and community service that inspires personal and community transformation.
Since our organizational philosophy centers on establishing valuable partnerships, we invite you to join us in advancing Dr. King’s aspirations and creating a world beneficial to all. We are a 501(c)(3) corporation that genuinely appreciates volunteers who enrich our initiatives and certainly needs financial support, including in-kind donation of products and services, all of which are tax-deductible according to current IRS guidelines. Event sponsorship offers comprehensive media promotion packages and premium market visibility in exchange for your financial support and goodwill.
Will you join us in our mission to make peaceful progress to removing all prejudice, inequality and injustice from the free, civil, democratic society America was destined to enjoy?
Thank you for your consideration. Please contact me to discuss your participation in our vital, virtuous cause.
"I have decided to stick to love ... Hate is too great a burden to bear."
